It was a very swampy area even in the middle of summer. Access was across railroad tracks and caution had to be taken, along with a rail spotter to ensure safety whenever deliveries or equipment needed to come across. Based on the soft ground, low ground pressure track dumper and swamp matts were used to keep equipment above ground. Sourcing the right amount of logs and boulders was important. The logs needed to be cabled to the boulders to keep them in place making a comfortable spot for fish and other aquatic species to rest in the shade out of predators reach.
