Project Challenges

The construction took place in mid summer approximately 100m away from the main take off runway. It was imperative that no dust or FOD (foreign object debris) got away from the site boundary. All airplanes leaving yvr had a sightline to our construction site so as with all our sites, there was emphasis on clean neat and professional looking construction methods. There were daily design changes on this project. Ensuring that the construction team had the correct info and specifications made for some long nights, but knowing they were producing quality work in a timely fasion made it all worth while. There was a lot of talk that the slab wouldn’t get poured in time to facilitate the construction schedule, but the team rose to the occasion and surprised everybody when it got poured.

WE did our best to use recycled products on this job when possible to assist in YVRs sustainable construction Target.
